Jennifer Ostrowski, associate professor of athletic training and director of the doctor of athletic training program at Moravian, teaches students about the structure and dynamics of the spine.

Jennifer Ostrowski, associate professor of athletic training and director of the doctor of athletic training program, has received the Outstanding Educator Award from the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers’ Society (PATS). The award recognizes an educator who is a member of PATS, has made outstanding contributions to athletic training education, and demonstrates academic excellence and dedication to student learning.

Jennifer Ostrowski, associate professor of athletic training and director of the doctor of athletic training program, is the author of a national textbook and many peer-reviewed journal articles.

Educators are nominated by PATS members, and the award committee reviews all nomination materials and selects the awardee. Evaluations are based on courses taught, presentations, publications, evidence of student mentorship in academics and research, innovative teaching methods, and institution-based academic awards or acknowledgments.

“While I do not personally know Dr. Jenn Ostrowski, I do know that she has a consistent presence within the athletic training field with numerous presentations and publications that I have enjoyed,” says Nicky Cattano, PATS president. “Additionally, Dr. Ostrowski’s outstanding work within Moravian University has had a lasting impact on students, colleagues, and the broader athletic training community as I know many individuals who have been inspired and positively impacted by her work and her time. Dr. Jenn Ostrowski is advancing the profession by elevating those around her and inspiring future leaders within our profession. She is very deserving of the 2024 PATS Outstanding Educator Award, and I am excited to be able to celebrate her during the Honors and Awards banquet at our upcoming symposium.”

The 2024 Annual PATS Convention will be held June 7-8 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Congratulations, Jenn!
