In-Chi Chow-Rivera is the executive administrative assistant for the student life departments. Currently, she supports community wellness: Mo’s Cupboard, the Office of Disability & Accommodations, and Student Accountability and Conflict Transformation; campus life: First-Year Orientation, Greek Life, Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), Residence Life and Housing, and Student Engagement; as well as the Moravian University Office of Spirituality and Inclusion.

What drew you to this role?

In-Chi Chow-Rivera, executive administrative assistant for the student life departments, helps students navigate Mo’s Cupboard, Moravian’s resource pantry.

When I applied, the position description looked tailored to me. I enjoy learning and assisting and interacting with people in a fast-paced environment. Working in Student Life with its multitude of departments offers a very broad spectrum of opportunities to assist and interact  with so many members of the Moravian University community.  Currently I’m very involved in running Mo’s Cupboard and its resources.

I’m also a member of several committees and initiatives including Helping Hounds, the Support Staff Council, and Phi Beta Delta–Theta Nu Chapter Honor Society for International Scholars. I hope my involvement in these groups adds to creating an environment in which our community of students and colleagues can be more successful in their college and professional journeys.

I was a cheerleader at Stuyvesant High School in New York City. One year we participated in the City Cheerleading Championships, and we won!

Chow-Rivera says she’s found the right fit in her role at Moravian.

What is your favorite thing to do with your free time?

Taking a walk right before sunset with music in my ears and watching the sky with its white, fluffy clouds against the light blue background transition to hues of yellow, orange, and red and then purple into midnight blue when the moon and the twinkling stars appear. Take a breath . . . ahhhh.

Other than that, watching K-dramas and C-dramas.
