Moravian’s 8th Annual Day of Giving kicks off at 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, and lasts through Friday, March 24, at 1:02 p.m. Why 1:02 p.m.? The campaign is 1,742 minutes long! We want to acknowledge Moravian’s founding year and come together as a community to celebrate how far we have come these past 280 years and how far we will go in the next 280.

The Day of Giving is all about the impact we will have on our undergraduate, graduate, and seminary students. With 31% of our undergraduate population being first-generation students, think about the influence we can have on the lives of so many students who are determined to graduate with a Moravian education to better themselves and our society! Our gifts of any amount do more than support our students—we are supporting the future leaders of the Lehigh Valley, our country, and the world. What an impact we can have!

We all are so busy with our individual work and class loads here at Moravian, and we are doing great things! I am proud to say I work at Moravian University, but our pride goes beyond that! Moravian pride is more than just 1,742 minutes—it is 365 days a year! I hope we can all take time during these two days to slow down and come together as a community in lighting the way for our students, their future, and the next generation. The Day of Giving is the perfect time to give a gift—we are lighting the way together!

Join me by giving to the Moravian Scholarship Fund, Seminary Scholarship Fund, graduate studies or any program that is personally meaningful to you. I guarantee our support will be life-changing for our students.
