Moravian University Partnerships co-designed the program to meet BSI’s Strategic Goals

BETHLEHEM, PA, June 24, 2026: Today, Moravian University and BSI Corporate Benefits announced the launch of the BSI Leadership Compass: People Leadership Program, a highly customized professional development and leadership excellence initiative. The program is designed to strengthen leadership capabilities, advance organizational development goals, and foster strategic knowledge within a dynamic business environment.

The inaugural cohort, comprising more than a dozen BSI people leaders, is scheduled to officially begin on July 8, 2026. Facilitated by Moravian University’s specialized faculty instructors and subject matter experts alongside BSI internal leadership, the multi-month comprehensive curriculum is structured around intensive monthly in-person seminars supplemented by targeted mentorship sessions, culminating in a graduation event to celebrate the participants.

“At Moravian University, we believe that transformative leadership is deeply rooted in purpose, values, and an enduring commitment to lifelong learning,” said Bryon Grigsby, president of Moravian University. “Expanding our partnership with BSI Corporate Benefits allows us to bring our world-class educational expertise directly into the local business ecosystem. We are thrilled to guide this cohort of professionals as they uncover their personal leadership philosophies and build the intentional skills necessary to drive meaningful organizational growth.”

The BSI Leadership Compass program will utilize a sophisticated framework that guides participants through a sequential leadership development roadmap:

  • Seminar 1: Program Introduction & Personal Philosophy: Led by Dr. Katie P. Desiderio (Moravian University) and Val Lewis, Chief People Officer at BSI, this session focuses on role transitions from individual influencer to people leader, utilizing DiSC assessment insights and the “Leadership LOVE” methodology (Listening, Openness, Values, and Emotional Intelligence).
  • Seminar 2: Leadership Presence: This seminar will align communication practices with executive presence to foster organizational trust and credibility.
  • Seminar 3: Power of Influence: This module will focus on navigating productive conflict, holding courageous conversations, and building reciprocal feedback cultures.
  • Seminar 4: Strategic Leadership: This seminar will equip BSI leaders to think systemically, clarify strategic priorities, and drive long-term value creation.
  • Seminar 5: Innovation & Change Management: This session will provide adaptive frameworks, network analysis, and design thinking to lead teams through market complexity and organizational transformation.
  • Seminar 6: Mentoring & Commencement: The program concludes with deep dives into coaching, appreciative inquiry, and leadership storytelling, culminating in an official graduation ceremony.

“At BSI, we believe investing in our people is one of the most important investments we can make,” said Val Lewis, Chief People Officer of BSI Corporate Benefits. “As our leaders continue to grow and take on greater responsibility, we wanted to create an intentional opportunity for them to build the skills, confidence, and perspective needed to lead effectively. The BSI Leadership Compass program is more than a training initiative, it is a commitment to supporting our leaders, strengthening our culture, and helping our people thrive.”

This initiative expands upon a robust educational partnership first established between Moravian University and BSI Corporate Benefits in 2021, which provides tailored corporate-educational pathways and tuition benefits for BSI personnel.
