The photographic work of Susan Morelock, assistant professor of photography and new media, has been exhibited around the world over the past several months:
September 19–September 25, 2021. Morelock exhibited at the Pingyao International Photography Festival in China. The invited exhibition brought together photo series from the Society for Photographic Education (SPE) chapter leadership. Morelock is the SPE Mid-Atlantic Chair. The exhibited pieces were selections from Morelock’s project Constructs.
“Construct for Ansel”
June 12–July 9, 2021. Morelock’s piece “Ghost” was exhibited in the Every Woman Biennial “My Love is Your Love” exhibition at the Copeland Gallery in London. The exhibition brought together works from more than 300 international female and non-binary artists.
“Ghost”
June 7–21, 2021. MoreIock was an artist in residence at the Baer Art Center in Northern Iceland. She was one of five international artists invited to stay at the center/horse farm just north of the town of Hofsos for the June session. “While I was there, I began developing a new body of photographs about volcanoes and other geological phenomena,” says Morelock. Two of her Iceland photos are shown above.
