Offered through the School of Professional Studies and Innovation (SPSI), the new certificate program can be completed as a standalone credential or stacked directly toward an MBA with an AI concentration.

BETHLEHEM, PA—Moravian University announced it will offer an AI for Business Certificate beginning this fall as artificial intelligence continues to reshape corporate strategy, operations, and decision-making across the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Designed for working professionals, managers, and executives, the program provides students with the opportunity to evaluate AI systems, build AI strategy, and govern AI responsibly, all without writing a single line of code.

Offered through Moravian’s School of Professional Studies and Innovation (SPSI), the program equips participants with high-demand competencies in prompt engineering, data-driven decision-making, ethical AI implementation, and operational integration.

“Artificial intelligence is no longer just a tool for tech departments; it is a fundamental business strategy,” said Bryon Grigsby, president of Moravian University. “This AI for Business Certificate bridges the gap between complex AI technology and everyday leadership. Whether a professional is seeking an immediate skill boost or laying the groundwork for an MBA, we are excited to provide accessible, industry-relevant pathways to keep our regional workforce ahead of the curve.”

To provide maximum flexibility for adult learners, the AI for Business Certificate is structured to accommodate both short-term professional goals and long-term degree pursuits:

  • Standalone Professional Credential: Designed for working adults who want to rapidly up skill, gain a competitive edge, and implement immediate AI solutions within their current organizations.
  • Stackable Pathway to a Moravian MBA: Coursework completed within the certificate can be directly applied toward a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Moravian University, serving as the concentration requirements for an MBA in AI. Once a student completes the certification with a B or higher, they are automatically admitted into the SPSI Online MBA.
